Wellington - Five-Test All Black Anthony Tuitavake will join Japan's NEC rugby club on a two-year contract after next year's Super 14, his North Harbour Rugby Union said on Thursday.

Tuitavake, an elusive wing or centre who also won a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Sevens, made his All Blacks debut against Ireland in June 2008.

He scored one Test try and 13 tries in 54 Super 14 matches for the Blues and Highlanders.

"Anthony has always been a leader for our team on the field and off," North Harbour chief executive Brett Hollister said.
