Wellington - Samoan media has reported that rugby international Anitele'a Tuilagi and two of his brothers have been charged following an alleged assault on veteran wing Brian Lima, the only man to play at five Rugby World Cups.
Assistant Police Commissioner Le'aupepe Fatu Pula told the Samoa Observer that Anitele'a and Vavae Tuilagi were held in police custody after their arrest earlier this week.
Olotuli Tuilagi had been charged with uttering insulting words towards police, he said.
The newspaper said Lima suffered a split lip and minor injuries.
Anitele'a Tuilagi has been a regular member of the Samoan national team and Vavae Tuilagi has played for Samoa at Under-20 level. Another brother, Manu, has been selected in England's squad.
