The results of the poll run on Sport24 this week indicate that 2 016 of the 3 615 votes polled - or 56% - believe Peter de Villiers's Boks will break their Tri-Nations duck on Saturday.

Some 1 032 of those 2 016 die-hard South African backers believe the Boks will win by seven or fewer points, while 984 believe the Boks will deny the All Blacks a bonus point and win by eight or more.

Those backing the All Blacks to sweep the Boks 3-0 in Tri-Nations matches this year are more confident the Test in Soweto will turn into a rout, with 465 backing Graham Henry's New Zealanders to win by seven or fewer, while 1 104 believe it will be by eight or more.

Thirty fans elected to back the draw.
