Soweto clash a huge hit

Johannesburg - The Golden Lions Rugby Union announced on Wednesday all currently available tickets had been sold out for the Tri-Nations Test between South Africa and New Zealand at the National Stadium (formerly Soccer City) on August 21.

A phase one allocation of more than 44 000 tickets sold out in the first 48 hours of sales.

A second phase of ticket sales is expected in due course from allocations returned by stakeholders.

A further 5 000 tickets priced at R100 each will go on sale at Computicket outlets in Soweto on July 26.

The GLRU also reported that 38 763 tickets are contractually offered to season and suite ticket holders, GLRU and Coca-Cola Park stakeholders, SARU, other provincial unions and for hospitality

The GLRU expects a second phase of ticket sales from returned allocations in due course.
