Aussies make late change

Melbourne - Australia have been forced to make a late change to their replacements bench for their Tri-Nations opener against South Africa on Saturday after flanker Matt Hodgson suffered a groin injury.

Hodgson will be replaced in the squad by Force team-mate Ben McCalman, who could make his Test debut in Brisbane on Saturday.

Australia coach Robbie Deans expects Hodgson, who suffered the injury in training on Tuesday, to be fit for next week's clash against Tri-Nations' leaders New Zealand in Melbourne.
