Toulon sign Aussie prop Ma'afu

Paris - European champions Toulon have signed Australian international prop Salesi Ma'afu from Northampton on a two-year deal, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 32-year-old will add depth to the front row after Martin Castrogiovanni's departure to Top 14 rivals Racing 92, and captain Carl Hayman's retirement.

Ma'afu played Super Rugby for the Brumbies and Force before moving to English Premiership side Northampton in 2013.

The Sydney-born prop, capped 14 times by Australia, won the Premiership title and the European Challenge Cup with Saints during his first season at Franklin's Gardens.
