Chavhanga off to Wales

Cape Town - Former Springbok winger Tonderai Chavhanga is heading to Wales to play for the Newport Gwent Dragons club, according to the website, ruggavibe.com.

The 27-year-old Zimbabwean-born speedster started his professional career with Free State in 2002, before joining Western Province and the Stormers in 2004.

He became a Springbok in 2005, famously scoring six tries on debut against Uruguay in East London.

However, his career has sadly been plagued by injuries. He left Western Province towards the end of 2009 to join the Golden Lions, but has hardly featured for the Johannesburg-based outfit.

He played four Tests for the Springboks, with his last Test coming in 2008 against Wales at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
