Tank interviews Breyton Paulse

Cape Town - Tank Lanning’s guest on the Front Row Grunt show on 2oceansvibe last night was former Bok, Stormers, WP and Clermont legend Breyton Paulse – a man born in 1976 in the Koue Bokkeveld, and now a SuperSport analyst.

Despite his size, his tremendous speed (he was a former SA Schools champion at 200m and 400m) forced selectors at all levels to have a gander. Paulse garnered attention almost from the start of his top-flight rugby career with a hat-trick of tries in his first Currie Cup match in 1996, and a hat-trick in his first appearance for the Springboks against Italy.

Tank and Breyton had an hour long chat about the Currie Cup final, the promotion/relegation games, the Kings in Super Rugby, Springbok selection, the Bok performances thus far, the plan for EOYT … and then selected their form Currie Cup team of 2012 … And even took in the odd decent tune or two …
