Zeilinga at pivot for Cheetahs

Cape Town - Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has named his team for Saturday’s Super Rugby clash against the Reds in Brisbane.

Smith has made a few changes to his team from the one which went down 36-14 to the Rebels Melbourne last weekend.

Up front, Carl Wegner is included as No 4 lock in the starting line-up, sending Francois Uys to the bench, with Lood de Jager moving to No 5.

Paul Schoeman moves from No 8 to flank in the place of Hilton Lobberts who returned home due to a shoulder injury he sustained during last weekend’s match.

Henco Venter will start in the No 8 jersey.

Among the backs, Fred Zeilinga and Niel Marais switch places, with Zeilinga starting at flyhalf and Marais on the bench.

Johan Coetzee and Michael van der Spuy are new on the bench, with Danie Mienie returning home with a shoulder injury.

Saturday’s clash at Suncorp Stadium is scheduled for 11:45 (SA time).
