Waratahs shift Folau to wing for Rebels

Cape Town - The Waratahs have shifted fullback Israel Folau to the wing for Sunday's Super Rugby clash against the Rebels.

It is one of a number of changes made by coach Daryl Gibson, who is looking to put a stop to the Rebels' perfect start to the 2018 season.

According to Australia's Fox Sports, Bryce Hegarty will now start at fullback while Wallabies lock Rob Simmons and prop Sekope Kepu return after injuries.

Ned Hanigan and Mitch Short, meanwhile, have recovered from their respective knocks in the week to be included.

Short had been expected to be ruled out with an ACL injury, but the 22-year-old has made a miraculous recovery and will play in this Australian derby.

Kick-off is at 07:05 SA time.
