Cape Town - The Jaguares will be without star play-makers Martin Landajo and Matías Moroni at the start of their Super Rugby season.
The players were injured while playing in a warm up against Uruguay. The Argentines ran their South American counterparts ragged, winning 61-7.
Landajo fractured his fibula during the game which was then aggravated when he was tackled by team-mate Leonardo Senatore at practice.
He is expected to be out for at least a month according to La Nacion. The scrumhalf underwent an operation on Wednesday.
Moroni took a knock to the elbow and the Jaguares medical staff are uncertain if he will recover before the start of Super Rugby.
The Jaguares' first game is against the Kings on Saturday, February 25 in Port Elizabeth.
