Super Rugby final SOLD OUT!

Cape Town - It's official! Ellis Park will be packed to the rafters on Saturday as tickets for the Super Rugby final between the Lions and the Crusaders are sold out.

The Golden Lions Rugby Union confirmed the news on Monday afternoon with many supporters having to be turned away from ticket offices empty handed.

Some tickets may still become available if season ticket holders do not take up their option to attend the game on Saturday.

They have until Wednesday to make their decision.

After his side's victory over the Hurricanes in their semi-final encounter, Lions coach, Johan Ackermann was hoping for a sell out.

"For me, to see 60 000 people here will be the ultimate. I couldn't really ask for more," said Ackermann.

And the man who will be overseeing the Lions for the final time has certainly seen his wish granted.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
