Sunwolves ring changes for Stormers

Cape Town - Sunwolves coach Mark Hammett has named his team for Friday's Super Rugby clash against the Stormers at Newlands.

Hammett has made several changes to the team that lost 33-28 to the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth last weekend.

Up front, there are two new starting props in Masataka Mikami and Takuma Asahara, while Shinya Makabe comes in at lock to partner Timothy Bond.

Argentine international Tomas Leonardi is also back in the starting team at No 8, with Ed Quirk moving to flank and Andrew Durutalo dropping to the bench.

In the backline, Hammett has opted for new starting halfbacks in Yuki Yatomi and Yu Tamura, who replace Kaito Shigeno and Tusi Pisi.

Derek Carpenter and Mifiposeti Paea will also form a new centre partnership, replacing Yu Tamura and Harumichi Tatekawa.

Friday night’s clash is scheduled for 19:00.
