Sunwolves bruised ahead of Cheetahs duel

Cape Town - The Sunwolves have lost two players due to injury following their 46-19 loss to the Stormers at Newlands last Friday.

Wing Akihito Yamada and lock Shinya Makabe could be sidelined for up to three weeks, the Japanese franchise confirmed on Sunday. Details of their injuries have not been confirmed yet.

Thirty-year-old speedster Yamada has scored five tries so far this season, which places him in the second overall position on the try-scoring list.

Fijian John Stewart and Samoan Faatiga Lemalu will provide cover for the injured Yamada and Makabe respectively.

The Sunwolves are in Bloemfontein this week for a clash against the Cheetahs on Friday (19:00 kick-off).
