Stormers bank on Ntubeni boost

Cape Town - The Stormers are banking on the return of hooker Scarra Ntubeni as they prepare to host the Reds at Newlands on Saturday.

Ntubeni missed last weekend’s game against the Lions due to a hamstring niggle, but coach Robbie Fleck said he had been training well and should come back into selection contention.

“Scarra Ntubeni has been working hard, so he hopefully should be available for selection this week,” Fleck told the Stormers’ official website.

While the clash against the Lions was a bruising affair, Fleck was happy to report that there are no more major injury concerns.

“Siya Kolisi had some bone bruising on his knee and JD Schickerling had a stiff back but other than that we have a clean bill of health,” said Fleck.

Saturday’s clash against the Reds is scheduled for 15:00.
