Sharks confirm departures of Cooper, Jordaan

Durban - The Sharks on Thursday confirmed the departures of hooker Kyle Cooper and centre Paul Jordaan.

The duo will leave the Sharks at the conclusion of the 2016 Super Rugby campaign.

Having made his debut in 2010, Cooper who currently has a combined tally of 99 matches for the Sharks (Super Rugby & Currie Cup) will be joining the Newcastle Falcons in England, whilst the highly talented speedster, Jordaan, is set to join French top 14 side Stade Rochelais.

“It’s always sad losing players of their calibre, but they have decided that the time is right to experience a new playing culture in a different country,” director of rugby Gary Gold told the Sharks’ official website.

“They both have made significant contributions to the Sharks over the last few years and we would like to take this opportunity to wish them, as well as their families, the very best for this new journey.”
