Cape Town - Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane wants to specialise in the tighthead position.
The 27-year-old, who has 28 Test caps to his name, has been used as both a tighthead and a loosehead throughout his international and provincial career.
It has made him a valuable player for both the Boks and the Bulls in recent times, but now he seems keen to specialise.
"Tighthead prop. It’s something I have been working on and I want to do well at it," was Nyakane's short answer when asked by sponsors Puma which position he preferred.
It is a big year for Nyakane, who is a part of a Bulls side desperately looking to improve in Super Rugby this year.
They missed the play-offs in 2016, and will have an even tougher draw this year given that they will play the New Zealand sides in regular season.
But Nyakane is staying grounded, choosing instead to focus on his own game and looking to improve all the time.
"Just to keep doing what I do best for my team and country. Hopefully win some silverware," he said.
The Bulls play their first Super Rugby match of the season against the Stormers in Cape Town on February 25.
