Lood to miss Sunwolves clash

Cape Town - Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has named a 25-man squad for their Super Rugby clash against the Sunwolves in Singapore on Saturday.

Springbok lock Lood de Jager was not included as he is rested in line with SA Rugby’s plan to rest top Boks for parts of the Super Rugby competition.

With De Jager absent, Reniel Hugo, Carl Wegner and Hilton Lobberts are the lock options for the match.

Saturday’s clash at the Singapore National Stadium is scheduled for 12:55 (SA time).

After that, the Cheetahs will return to South Africa for a match against the Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday, March 19.
