Lobberts, Mohoje raring to go

Cape Town - Head coach Franco Smith says loose forwards Hilton Lobberts and Oupa Mohoje are eager to hit the ground running when the Cheetahs host the Sunwolves in a Super Rugby clash in Bloemfontein on Friday night (19:00 kick-off).

Lobberts also replaces the injured Boom Prinsloo at flank, with the latter ruled out for the season with a hamstring injury.

Another significant change in the team sees the return of Mohoje, who is making his comeback after an injury. He will start on the bench in place of Henco Venter.

Lobberts played two Tests for the Boks between 2006 and 2007, while Mohoje has played eight Tests since making his debut in 2014.

However, both will be eager to cement regular Super Rugby spots and Friday’s clash provides the ideal opportunity.

“Despite the setback we’ve have had with Boom Prinsloo’s injury we’re looking forward to have fresh and eager players like Hilton Lobberts and Oupa Mohoje, who have worked hard to get back onto the field in the team this weekend,” said Cheetahs coach Franco Smith.
