Lions romp to victory against Jaguares

Cape Town - The Lions have proved far too strong for the Jaguares, running out easy 52-24 winners in a Super Rugby encounter at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg.

As it happened: Lions v Jaguares - Johannesburg

The Lions who outscored the visitors by eight tries to two, lead 19-9 at half-time.

The home side put their foot on the gas in the second half, giving the ball plenty of air at every opportunity and running in five excellent tries.

The Jaguares managed two of their own through Nicolas Sanchez and Gonzalo Bertrano.

Next week the Lions face the Bulls in Pretoria while the Jaguares travel to Port Elizabeth to face the Southern Kings.
