Cape Town - Lions prop Ruan Dreyer will be sidelined for an extended period with a wrist injury.
The 25-year-old fractured his right wrist in last Saturday’s 45-10 Super Rugby win over the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth.
Dreyer is set to go under the knife and the Lions confirmed on Tuesday that he will be out of action for approximately six months.
In their next Super Rugby assignment, the Lions will host the Hurricanes in Johannesburg on Saturday (17:05 kick-off).
