Cape Town - Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his team for Saturday’s Super Rugby clash against the Hurricanes in Johannesburg (17:05 kick-off).
Rookie prop Pieter Scholtz has been drafted into the starting line-up for the clash.
This follows the injury to Ruan Dreyer in the match against the Southern Kings last weekend. Dreyer has undergone surgery and will be sidelined for approximately six months.
Scholtz has been in action for the Golden Lions XV in the Currie Cup Qualifiers.
Malcolm Marx did not pass a late fitness test and thus Armand van der Merwe will start at hooker, with Ramone Samuels coming onto the bench.
