Lambie boots Sharks to vital victory

Cape Town - Despite being outscored three tries to one, the Sharks left Buenos Aires with an invaluable victory against the Jaguares on Saturday.

The Sharks won 25-22 after leading 19-17 at half-time.

The Sharks scored their only five-pointer through No 8 Dan du Preez, while flyhalf Pat Lambie was the hero on the night, landing a conversion and six penalties for a personal haul of 20 points.

The Jaguares replied with tries by lock Tomás Lavanini, scrumhalf Martín Landajo and prop Santiago García Botta. Flyhalf Nicolás Sánchez was on target with two conversions and a penalty.

The Sharks picked up four points for their victory, but stayed second in the Africa 2 Conference. They did however move into third place in the South African Group.
