Kings suffer injury setbacks

Cape Town - Southern Kings head coach Deon Davids has confirmed a number of his players are still battling with injuries.

Both Edgar Marutlulle (knee) and Sti Sithole (elbow) would not be available for selection ahead of the match against the Lions this weekend.

Both starting locks, captain Steven Sykes and JC Astle, who had sustained light concussions during the game against the Vodacom Bulls, were also still being evaluated and a call around their availability would only be made on Saturday.

Davids remained hopeful that both would be available, however.

"On the positive side, Thembelani Boli has been cleared and Shane Gates is back at centre," said Davids.
