Key Crusaders quartet poised for return

Cape Town - The Crusaders are set to be boosted by the return of Kieran Read and several other first-team players for their clash with the Sunwolves.

All Black captain Read played half a game of club rugby over the weekend and is fit to return to the squad for the Christchurch fixture on Friday.

Kick-off is at 09:35 (SA time).

Seta Tamanivalu (hamstring), Jack Goodhue (calf) and Richie Mo'unga (hand) are also available for the match, but Ryan Crotty (ankle) and Digby Ioane (finger) aren't, as the Crusaders return from a bye week looking to make it seven wins out of seven in Super Rugby this season.

"He's been cleared of any serious injury," Crusaders assistant coach Brad Mooar said of Crotty to Stuff.

"That's an injury scare that is been cared for really well and we are working towards getting him back to hopefully being available next weekend (against the Stormers)."

Mooar added on the prospect of the aforementioned players returning from respective early-season injuries this week: "It was really good to see those boys playing, they got through the game really well and will be available."
