Cape Town - The knee injury keeping Stormers prop Oli Kebble out of this weekend's Super Rugby clash against the Force in Sydney is "not serious", says coach Robbie Fleck.
Kebble was immense for the Stormers in their 57-31 win over the Rebels in Melbourne last weekend as the visitors dominated at scrum time.
Ali Vermaak, who has not started a Super Rugby match this season, is Kebble's replacement.
The goon news is that Fleck does not expect Kebble to be sidelined for an extended period.
"Obviously it’s disappointing to lose Oli," Fleck said.
"I felt that he had a good game on the weekend and he’s been working incredibly hard on his game.
"He’s obviously disappointed. It’s not a serious injury, just a case of looking after the player and ensuring that he’s going to be good to go in the weeks to come."
The Stormers can secure a home quarter-final with a win over the Force, making it a big game and as a result a good opportunity for Vermaak.
"He has had game time for the Currie Cup side," Fleck said of Vermaak.
"He has been around and whenever we’ve called upon him in the Stormers setup he’s done exceptionally well.
"He’s looking forward to the opportunity. He’s a good team man and I’m looking forward to see how he goes."
Kick-off on Saturday is at 13:55.
