Joubert to ref Lions v Crusaders QF

Cape Town - South Africa’s Craig Joubert has been appointed as referee for the Lions’ home Super Rugby quarter-final against the Crusaders at Ellis Park on Saturday (16:30 kick-off).

Joubert will be assisted by Marius van der Westhuizen and Rasta Rasivhenge, with Marius Jonker the television match official (TMO).

Jaco Peyper will referee the quarter-final between the Stormers and Chiefs at Newlands (19:00).

Peyper will be assisted by Jaco van Heerden and AJ Jacobs, with Johan Greeff the TMO.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand’s Glen Jackson will referee the Sharks’ playoff against the Hurricanes in Wellington (09:35 SA time).

Jackson will be assisted by Nick Briant and Paul Williams, with Glenn Newman in the TMO booth.

Friday’s quarter-final between the Brumbies and Highlanders in Canberra will be refereed by Australia’s Angus Gardner.

Gardner will be assisted by Ben O'Keeffe and Nic Berry, with George Ayoub calling the shots from upstairs.
