Cape Town - Hurricanes boss Chris Boyd singled out fullback Jordie Barrett for special praise after their 41-15 win over the Highlanders in Wellington on Saturday.
The younger brother of All Blacks pivot and World Rugby Player of the Year Beauden was in superb form for the Super Rugby champions and although he did not get his name onto the scoresheet, he was superb in attack and set up tries for Ngani Laumape and Matt Proctor with brilliant pieces of skill either side of half-time.
And Boyd couldn't hide his delight when asked about the 20-year-old's performance and feels the youngster has the world at his feet.
"Still in his mind he likes the idea of being a 12, I think he's a tailor-made 15," he told Stuff.
"Apart from maybe blistering top-end speed, everything else that you design around a fullback he has.
"He's a young man and I thought it was a really polished performance from him."
20-year-old Barrett was humble when asked to assess his performance.
"I was happy enough with my performance, at times it was quite frantic and we were just trying to settle into our patterns, but I'm reasonably pleased with how I went."
