Force's Wessels to replace Rassie at Munster?

Cape Town - Western Force and Wallabies lock Adam Coleman has been linked with a move to Munster, along with coach Dave Wessels.

Coleman has been linked with numerous clubs in Ireland, England and France after the Western Force was officially axed from Super Rugby.

According to the Australian Telegraph, sources suggest Coleman may follow Force coach Dave Wessels to whichever club he picks.

Wessels, 36, is rumoured to be in Ireland this week to interview for the director of rugby position with Munster.

Wessels has also been touted as a possible replacement for Tony McGahan at Melbourne Rebels.

According to outgoing Munster director of rugby Rassie Erasmus, however, Wessels is still in the mix for the Munster job.

"Obviously the guys have asked my opinion about him and that is my involvement, just an opinion. I am not involved further," Erasmus told the Irish Independent.

"I don't know how far along the line it is. His name was in the mix in July and there are a few names I saw, so I think he is one of a few good candidates. I'm not sure how close they are really to finalising that, but he is one of the good options.

"I know him really well. He was defence coach at the Brumbies, head coach at the Force. He is an intelligent guy, I can vouch for his character.

"There are so many guys who would be good fits because lots of guys want to be at this club. I can vouch for his character, I worked with him and (can vouch for) his work ethic.

"But I don't know with whom he is actually competing at the end. There might be great characters as well, but he would be one of the good fits."
