Force edge Reds in Perth scrap

Cape Town - The Force edged the Reds in an all-Australian Vodacom Super Rugby clash in Perth on Friday.

As it happened: Force v Reds

The Force won 26-19 after the sides were tied at 12-all at half-time.

The Force scored three tries through wing Chance Peni, lock Matt Philip and centre Curtis Rona. Flyhalf Jono Lance was on target with one conversion, while replacement Ian Prior added three penalties.

The Reds replied with three tries of their own - all courtesy of wing Eto Nabuli. Reds pivot Quade Cooper added two conversions.

The Force picked up four points for their win and moved to the top of the Australian Conference, while the Reds left with a single point for losing by seven or fewer.

In next weekend's Week 3 action, the Force travel to Canberra to face the Brumbies (Friday, March 10 at 10:45 SA time), while the Reds welcome the Crusaders to Brisbane (Saturday, March 11 at 10:45 SA time).
