Faddes re-signs with Highlanders

Dunedin - The Highlanders have announced that versatile back Matt Faddes has put pen to paper on a new deal with the former Super Rugby champions.

The 25-year-old, who can play on the wing or at centre, has shone for the Dunedin-based franchise when called upon in recent seasons.

And the team has rewarded him with a new contract, revealing the news on their Twitter account, with Faddes thrilled to ink an extension.

"I am proud to announce that I have re-signed with the Highlanders until 2019, it was a childhood dream to play for these guys and it is a real privilege, so we will see you against the Blues next Saturday night," Faddes said ahead of their match against the Blues in Dunedin.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
