Cape Town - Springbok centre Damian de Allende is back for the Stormers, but the Cape side have also suffered some crucial injuries.
The Stormers confirmed on Sunday that De Allende and utility forward Rynhardt Elstadt have both returned to full training ahead of schedule and will be considered for selection in the next Super Rugby game against the Sunwolves at Newlands on Friday, April 8.
The return of these two players will no doubt boost the Stormers, but coach Robbie Fleck has some thinking to do with some injury setbacks confirmed.
Scrumhalf Jano Vermaak suffered a neck disc injury in the game against the Sharks which was worse than the specialist initially suspected. He went for surgery last week and will be out of action for three months.
Utility back Dillyn Leyds did not travel with the squad to Argentina after picking up a non-contact knee injury at training last Tuesday. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament which will require surgery that will sideline him for about nine months.
Fullback Cheslin Kolbe sustained concussion in the 13-8 victory over the Jaguares in Argentina and will be reassessed later in the week.
The Stormers have a bye this coming weekend.
