Cape Town - Crocked Stormers duo Leolin Zas and Juan de Jongh have posed for a picture - from hospital.
Zas fractured both his fibula and tibia after coming on as a replacement in the pre-Super Rugby season match against the Lions at Newlands.
He is expected to be out of action for 12 months.
Meanwhile, De Jongh tore his medial collateral ligament and will consequently spend around 10-12 weeks on the sidelines.
Despite the setback to their respective seasons, both players appeared in good spirits.
Following the double injury news, the Stormers announced that they had signed Springbok wing Bjorn Basson from the Bulls, while Joe Pietersen in back in the Cape and training with the team.
The Stormers open their 2017 Super Rugby campaign against the Bulls at Newlands on Saturday, February 25 at 19:30.
