Cooper in line to coach Chiefs

Wellington - New Zealand Maori coach Colin Cooper is set to replace Dave Rennie as head coach of the Chiefs according to reports.

Stuff say that Cooper is set to be unveiled before Christmas as the new boss for the two-time Super Rugby champions, who enjoyed great success under Rennie during his time in charge.

Rennie is heading to Scotland to take over as head coach of Glasgow Warriors.

Cooper spent eight years with the Hurricanes between 2003 and 2011, making the playoffs on numerous occasions and losing out in the 2006 final.

He has since enjoyed provincial success with Taranaki, winning both the Mitre 10 title and the Ranfurly Shield.
