Cheetahs sign deals with 3 hookers

Cape Town - The Cheetahs have signed contract extensions with three promising hookers.

The Bloemfontein franchise on Tuesday announced that Torsten van Jaarsveld, Joseph Dweba and Jacques du Toit have all extended their contracts.

Jaarsveld, 28, represented Namibia at last year’s Rugby World Cup in England. He boasts 33 Super Rugby caps for the Cheetahs and is contracted with the team until the end of 2018.

Dweba, 20, was a member of the South African Under-20 team which toured to Argentina for two matches in May 2015.

Upon the team's return he was named in the final squad for the 2015 Under-20 World Rugby Championship, helping South Africa to a 31-18 victory over France, securing a third place in the competition. He is contracted until the end of 2017.

Du Toit, 22, is also signed until the end of next year and has represented the union in nine Currie Cup matches and nine Super Rugby matches.
