'Canes narrow bookies title favourites

Cape Town - Bookmakers have installed the Hurricanes as marginal favourites for this year's Super Rugby title.

Leading SA bookies Sportingbet have the 'Canes on offer at 6/4, ahead of the Chiefs at 3/1.

The Lions can be backed at 16/5 while the Highlanders are on offer at 100/30.

The Hurricanes and Chiefs will do battle in the first semi-final in Wellington on Saturday (09:35 SA time), after which the Lions host the Highlanders at Ellis Park (15:00).

Should the Hurricanes win, they will host the final regardless of who their opponents are.

Should the Chiefs prevail, they will have to travel to either Johannesburg or Dunedin.
