Bulls wish Greyling well in France

Cape Town - The Bulls have confirmed the departure of prop Dean Greyling to French club Oyonnax.

Greyling, 30, has been released from his contract to join the Top 14 club with immediate effect.

Blue Bulls Company High Performance Manager, Xander Janse van Rensburg, commented on the former Springbok prop’s release to the French outfit:

"Dean has been a great stalwart for us and we decided not to stand in his way to go to France, where I know he will be successful, so we granted him an early release," Van Rensburg confirmed.

"We want to thank him for his loyal services over a decade and wish him well in France."

Greyling played three Tests for the Springboks between 2011 and 2012, but has struggled for consistent form in recent times.

He played mainly for the Blue Bulls’ Currie Cup side this year after falling behind in the Super Rugby pecking order.

At Oyonnax, Greyling will join Southern Kings captain Steven Sykes who is also heading to France after Super Rugby.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
