Cape Town - The Bulls are wary ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Cheetahs in Pretoria on Saturday.
The Bulls got back to winning ways with a 26-13 victory over the Sunwolves at the weekend, but it was only their second win of the season and a loss to the Cheetahs would be catastrophic.
The Cheetahs are themselves struggling, also boasting only two wins, but showed promise in their latest encounter against the Chiefs.
The men from Bloemfontein led 24-0 in the first half against the New Zealanders, before the Chiefs rebounded to win 41-27.
Bulls coach Nollis Marais took note of the Cheetahs’ efforts at the weekend.
“They were brilliant in that first half. The Cheetahs were quickly 24-0 ahead and that takes some doing against a top team like the Chiefs,” Marais told Netwerk24.
The Cheetahs beat the Bulls 34-28 earlier in the competition.
“The Cheetahs really looked good and we know what to expect,” Marais continued.
Saturday’s clash at Loftus Versfeld is scheduled for 17:15.
