Blitzbok stars join Cheetahs

Cape Town - Springbok Sevens stars Cecil Afrika, Chris Dry and Rosko Specman have joined the Cheetahs until the end of the season.

The Cheetahs announced on Monday that the Blitzboks trio had joined them at training on Monday.

They will not be considered for Super Rugby just yet, but have their sights set on making the Free State Cheetahs’ Currie Cup squad.

According to Netwerk24, the trio signed contracts with the Bloemfontein-based union until the end of the Currie Cup season.

The Free State Cheetahs open the defence of their Currie Cup campaign at home against the Sharks on July 21.
