Berry lands plum Lions v Stormers role

Cape Town - Stuart Berry has been appointed as referee for Saturday’s South African Super Rugby derby between the Lions and Stormers in Johannesburg (19:15 kick-off).

Berry will be assisted by Lourens van der Merwe and Cwengile Jadezweni, with Willie Vos the television match official.

Australia’s Angus Gardner will referee the Bulls’ clash against the Reds in Pretoria (17:05). He will be assisted by AJ Jacobs and an assistant yet to be confirmed, while Johan Greeff will be in the TMO booth.

Earlier in the day, Jaco Peyper will be the referee when the Sharks take on the Blues in Auckland (09:35 SA time). He will be assisted by Craig Joubert and Paul Williams, with Ben Skeen the TMO.

Australia’s Nic Berry will be the referee for Friday night’s match between the Cheetahs and Sunwolves in Bloemfontein (19:00). He will be assisted by Gardner and Van der Merwe, with Marius Jonker on TMO duty.
