Willie back for Cheetahs finale

Cape Town - Springbok fullback Willie le Roux will play his final match for the Cheetahs on Saturday as they head to Loftus Versfeld to take on the Bulls in their Super Rugby encounter.

According to the supersport.com website, Le Roux will be joining the Canon Eagles in Japan after he completes his Springbok commitments at the Rugby World Cup and as this is the last Cheetahs game of the season, will only be seen again in Super Rugby next year when he joins the Sharks as his new home.

Le Roux’s elevation at the expense of Coenie van Wyk is the big news of the team, which also sees a return for another Bok, Teboho “Oupa” Mohoje, who is back on the bench after a long-term injury.

Sergeal Pietersen moves from the right wing to the left, replacing Cornal Hendricks, who drops out of the 23-man squad altogether, with Clayton Blommetjies coming into the team on the right wing.

Henco Venter moves up from the bench to replace Tienie Burger in the starting line-up, while Renier Botha replaces Shaun Venter on the bench as reserve halfback.
