Cape Town - Star fullback Israel Folau sparked a Waratahs romp against their Australian Conference rivals, the Rebels, in Sydney on Friday.
AS IT HAPPENED: Waratahs v Rebels
The Waratahs won 32-8 after leading 11-8 at half-time.
The Waratahs scored four tries through Folau (2), and wings Alofa Alofa and Peter Betham. Flyhalf Bernard Foley was on target with three conversions and two penalties.
The Rebels replied with a try by skipper and No 8 Scott Higginbotham and a penalty by No 10, Bryce Hegarty.
The Waratahs picked up a full-house of five points for their victory and moved to the top of the Australian Conference and into second place in the Overall standings.
The Rebels left the Sydney Football Stadium empty-handed and stayed bottom of the Australian Conference and in 13th position in the Overall log.
In next weekend's Round 7 action, the Waratahs travel to Durban to face the table-topping Sharks (Saturday, March 29 at 17:05), while the Rebels welcome the Brumbies to Melbourne (Friday, March 28 at 10:40).
