Sydney - Wallabies backrower Ben McCalman is hoping to rebound in time for this season's Rugby Championships after suffering a fractured cheekbone in a Super Rugby match last weekend.
McCalman will miss the Force's final regular season match against the Rebels on Friday, but he is aiming to return for Australia's first match in the four-nation Rugby Championships against South African on July 18.
He is likely to included in Australia's squad after playing 38 international tests in his career, including nine last year. Four of those were on the Wallabies' end-of-season tour to Britain and France.
The Rugby Championships will be shortened this season because of the World Cup in Britain in September.
