Cape Town - Former Wallaby wing Lote Tuqiri has taken a dig at South African referee Jonathan Kaplan on Twitter on Friday.
Tuqiri, tweeting in reference to Waratahs scrumhalf Luke Burgess knocking over NZ referee Chris Pollock during the Crusaders' 33-18 Vodacom Super Rugby win over the Waratahs, wrote: Pity that ref that Luke Burgess knocked over in the Tahs, Crusaders game wasn't Jonathan Kaplan. Good win Crusaders!
Kaplan came under fire for his officiating in the Week 2 match between the Melbourne Rebels and Brumbies, in which he awarded a dubious last-minute penalty to the Rebels which gave them their maiden victory in Super Rugby.
