Strauss to sign with Bulls

Cape Town - Cheetahs captain and hooker, Adriaan Strauss, is set to leave Bloemfontein and sign for the Bulls in Pretoria.

According to the supersport.com website, Strauss has rejected a contract extension with the Cheetahs.

Although the Bulls are officially only allowed to start negotiating from July 1, the signing of Strauss appears to be a fait accompli.

Strauss, 28, was schooled at Grey College in Bloemfontein, but started his professional career at the Bulls, where he played eight Super Rugby matches.

Strauss returned to Free State in 2007 and has made 95 Super Rugby appearances to date.

Strauss also has 34 Test caps for the Springboks.
