Cape Town - The Stormers are considered to be rank outsiders for the 2015 Super Rugby title - if local bookmakers are to be believed.
The six playoff contenders have already been decided with their final finishing order to be determined after this weekend's fixtures.
Thanks to their 19-all draw against the Lions at Newlands last Saturday, the Stormers no longer have their fate in their own hands.
For the Stormers to finish in the all-important second overall spot, which would guarantee them a week off in the "quarter-final" stage - and a home semi-final, they would need the following to happen:
- Brumbies to lose at home to the Crusaders
- Waratahs to lose at home to the Reds
- Stormers to beat the Sharks in Durban
It appears unlikely that all three required outcomes will materialise for Allister Coetzee's men to sneak into that second spot behind runaway leaders, the Hurricanes.
Local bookmakers Sportingbet have installed the Hurricanes as 5/4 favourites for the title, followed by the Waratahs at 10/3 and the Chiefs (6/1).
Those three are followed by the Brumbies (7/1), Highlanders (8/1) and Stormers (12/1).
