Stormers' Fourie off to France

Cape Town - Versatile Stormers forward Deon Fourie has signed a deal to play with French club Lyon, who recently returned to the Top 14.

According to the RugbyRama website, the 27-year-old Fourie has signed a two-year deal and will join Lyon at the conclusion of this year's Super Rugby competition.

Fourie, who can play at hooker and flank, almost left WP at the end of 2012 when Toulon showed interested.

However, he opted not to go after captaining WP to Currie Cup glory that year.

"I am excited to join Lyon Rugby, who have big ambitions in the Top 14 next season. I'm sure this is only the beginning of a long and successful collaboration," Fourie said via a press statement on Lyon's official website.
