Cape Town - Stormers coach Allister Coetzee has confirmed that eighthman Nizaam Carr will be out for the season after injuring his knee against the Cheetahs on Saturday.
Carr suffered the injury when entering a ruck in the first half of the clash at Newlands, which the Stormers won 16-14.
It was on Sunday established that Carr has torn the anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) in his right knee.
Carr was replaced by Jebb Sinclair, the Canadian and London Irish player.
The Stormers are also missing loose forwards Schalk Burger, Duane Vermeulen and Nick Koster - all of whom are only due back after the June Test-match break.
