Sonny Bill's house burgled

2012-05-26 07:22

Wellington - All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams has become the victim of a burglary, saying he returned home on Friday after playing for the Chiefs in Super Rugby to discover his house had been broken into.

The 191cm centre, who is also a professional boxer, announced the burglary on Twitter, saying "it would be nice to run into someone wearing an SBW training top."

Williams said the items stolen were "nothing that can't be replaced", adding "thank God no-one was hurt."

Police are investigating.

Williams was instrumental in the Chiefs' 28-22 win over the Bulls which took them to the summit of the Super Rugby table on Friday.

I can only imagine a burglar's face if he were to b caught red handed by SBW lol.

Sonny it must have been Wynie Strydom. He obviously wanted to get something for Wynand

A wannabe Kiwi and Sharks fan. At least both teams have choking in common. You must be so proud.

This story is utter bullsh*t: there is no crime in New Zealand and there has never been crime there. It is just a conspiracy to cover our own highest-in-the-world crime rate and to put the Superior Ozzies in a bad light. Sies man

      jomardl - 2012-05-26 09:38

I sincerely hope this is your weak attempt at irony.

      Bossie - 2012-05-26 09:43

@Zion- wat het enigiets met Oz te doen..? Idiot!!

      Zion - 2012-05-26 09:45

Still hating the All Blacks I see. Get a hold onto yourself or is your comment merely the acme of stupidity hey Omnivore?

      Nzbro - 2012-05-26 10:00

I wish your info was true mate but unfortunately we do have crime here in NZ. The only difference I believe is that its at a much lower scale than yours and not as violent. SBW was indeed burgled and it was probably a drug user looking for quick cash to finance his habit which is usually the case here. Watch out for Julian Savea in future games. He is a 21yr old 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in) 104 kg freight train similar to Jona Lomu who was 1.96 m (6 ft 5 in) 125 kg. A great future in store for him in Black jersey.

Oh, I get it, you're a little touched. Never mind then.

      Jason - 2012-05-26 10:22

@Zion Ozzies are from Australia, Kiwis from NZ..........................................lol! some mother's children!

      Lance - 2012-05-26 11:07

      Zion - 2012-05-26 11:17

  • lee.venter - 2012-05-26 10:02

So the bulls are still looking for SBW's offload...

  • Zion - 2012-05-26 11:27

NZBRO: My comment should be taken lightly I know there is lesser crime in NZ than in SA.. I am informed by family members who reside there Viva NZ. Those family members supply me with the much hated NZ jerseys. and that is one of the reasons My dear fellow men dislike me.

      jomardl - 2012-05-26 13:18

@Zion, you seem to enjoy playing the victim. I'm a proud South African and Bok supporter but the All Blacks are a fantastic side and New Zealand is a wonderful country. You wearing the jersey, however, does not make you immune to criticism, so lighten up. :)

      Bossie - 2012-05-26 13:36

@Zion- its there where you have it wrong- Bok supporters dont hate NZ, infact we have a lot of respect for them..Its the comments you make that's the reason for your fellow men to dislike you!! SA's like you irritate the living sh*t out of me!!

      Zion - 2012-05-27 08:31

Omnivore: Wearing a NZ Jersey does hnot entitle others to insult me which is the case. My comments in that respect is merely a reaction. It would be fine If I could, just for once be allowed to comment with out being insulted

      Zion - 2012-05-27 08:35

Bossie: with all due respect: What I have seen and heard since the RWC ended in 2011 was unadulterated lies, hate and disfavour by our goodie good-shoes supporters I could re-translate that to unadulterated hate. That Bossie, is my opinion and others may be wrong and I still abide by that opinion.

      Bossie - 2012-05-27 11:01

@Zion- with all due respect- you are insulted by others coz of your ignorant comments- please get that! It is not coz of the AB jersey- please get that! Again, I'm ashamed to be associated with other SA's like yourself. True rugby fans have the utmost respect for the kiwis- the kiwis eat breath and sleep rugby. Of all the international teams, I'd go as far by saying true bok supporters would have the most respect for the kiwis.
