Wellington - All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams has become the victim of a burglary, saying he returned home on Friday after playing for the Chiefs in Super Rugby to discover his house had been broken into.
The 191cm centre, who is also a professional boxer, announced the burglary on Twitter, saying "it would be nice to run into someone wearing an SBW training top."
Williams said the items stolen were "nothing that can't be replaced", adding "thank God no-one was hurt."
Police are investigating.
Williams was instrumental in the Chiefs' 28-22 win over the Bulls which took them to the summit of the Super Rugby table on Friday.
