Cape Town - Sharks lock Anton Bresler has signed a three-year deal with Scottish side, Edinburgh.
Edinburgh, who are coached by South African Alan Solomons, announced the news via their official website on Wednesday.
Bresler, who has played 39 Super Rugby games for the Sharks, will join his new team after the completion of this year's Super Rugby competition.
Solomons said they were delighted to have secured Bresler's services.
"Anton is a player who, despite being just 26, has been a regular in the Sharks starting line-up for the past three to four years.
"The Sharks are probably South Africa's strongest franchise and are currently second in Super Rugby, which allows us to appreciate the quality of Anton as a player.
"He is a big, powerful and abrasive player. He's a front of the lineout jumper and I would describe him as more of an enforcer lock.
"I think he will form a very good partnership with Grant Gilchrist and will add a lot of value to Edinburgh Rugby.”
